What We Offer
From September 2018
Since September 2018, the Education and Public Health departments of City of Wolverhampton Council have worked in partnership to provide PSHE/RSE education support to Wolverhampton schools. The current offer to schools is as follows:

A specialist RSHE (relationships, sex, health) education and the traditional personal, social, health and economic (PSHE) education advisory service.

Staff development opportunities to promote high quality PSHE education delivery in schools.

Support will be tailored to meet the needs of individual schools and link national best practice and guidance to local needs and priorities. It will include:

PSHE programmes of study, lesson plans and resources.

Policy development and review.

Consultancy and planning visits.

Local data and intelligence e.g. Health Related Behaviour Survey and new Public Health school profiles.

Access to a range of projects and interventions linked to local education and public health priorities.

Support for schools in addressing elements of the Ofsted judgement of Personal Development, Behaviour and Welfare and Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural development.

A coordinated City approach around the key themes of PSHE/RSE education, for example, emotional wellbeing, safety, employability, relationships and sex education.
