This section contains RSE/PSHE education curriculum materials grouped by theme for the primary phase.   The team has developed a curriculum plan and overview for primary phase schools based on a mix of locally created resources and those collated from other reputable sources and providers.  These materials are included within this section. 

 

The materials within this section are reviewed and amended on a frequent basis, so please ensure that you access the resources directly from our website to ensure that you are using the latest versions.  

 

As RSE is now a mandatory, the team is able to support schools in creating an individually tailored curriculum via consultancy and planning support.  Ofsted recommends that schools provide a ‘broad and balanced’ curriculum which meets the needs of their pupils, so it is important that schools are aware of the current resources which offer this.  Schools should also be mindful of the latest Ofsted school inspection framework, as much of the evidence required by Ofsted for Personal Development is heavily linked to content which is provided by an effective and well-planned RSE/PSHE curriculum.
