What is RSE?

Relationships Education, Relationships & Sex Education (RSE) and Health Education is the statutory part of PSHE education. Relationships Education is compulsory in all primary schools in England and Relationships and Sex Education is compulsory in all secondary schools. Health Education is compulsory in all state-funded schools.

What is PSHE? 

Personal, Social, Health & Economic (PSHE) education can be defined as a planned programme of learning through which children and young people acquire the knowledge, understanding and skills they need to manage their lives, now and in the future. As part of a whole school approach, PSHE education develops the qualities and attributes pupils need to thrive as individuals, family members and members of society.

 

The materials and resources within in this section are sorted into key ‘themes’ across RSE & PSHE education. You will also find a range of additional guidance on areas such a policy, assessment and monitoring of the subject. 

 

The team are able to offer a range of support across the areas contained within these sub-sections, either by one-to-one consultancy, training, or other more ‘bespoke’ advice.
